CJPAN Launches Cleaner Lagos Campaign To Support Street Sweeper

The Celebrities Journal Publishers Association of Nigeria, CJPAN on Thursday launched Cleaner Lagos Campaign, a CSR Initiative aimed at supporting the activities of the Lagos State Government and the street sweepers in the state.
The initiative is to create more awareness about the need to continue keeping the environment clean and support the good works being done by street sweepers, who have remained committed to ensuring that the state wears the mega city look as its being positioned by the government.
The event, which was in partnership with the Lagos State Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) kicked off in Agege Local Government area of the state.
Some prominent celebrities such as King Wadada joined the journalists in the laudable Initiative.
Speaking at the event, the President of CJPAN, Mr. Joshua Uloko noted that the initiative would be a monthly project to give back to the society that has given so much to the members of the association.
He used opportunity to call on people of like minds to join hands to support the efforts of the state government in building the cleaner mega city that will become a pride of both Lagostians and visitors alike.
Mr. Uloko further called on other well-meaning Lagosians to join hands with CJPAN to make the initiative a more sustainable one.
The Head of Environmental Sanitation in the local government was full of praise for the members of the association, noting that that was the first time a media organisation would be doing such.
Apart from engaging in cleaning, the initiative will be rewarding some outstanding street sweepers with gifts to encourage them to do more.
