Eti-Osa, Eti-Okun or Eyin-Gbeti are names synonymous with this strategic and vital area of Lagos State. Eti-Osa as it is fondly called houses, different sectors of industries, captain of industries and large conglomerates not to forget the rich traditional institutions and real estate development aboumd in its outline. The relevance of this area has received an urgent clarion call to reposition itself in the scheme of things in the next elections amongst other strategic developmental electoral possibilities.
According to the Founder of the Humble Prince Organisation (HPO), Hon Babajide Akinloye, Former member, Federal House of Reps, Eti-Osa Constituency said a Stand Up Eti-Osa call is vital to its positioning going forth politically for total debelopment especially in the dividends of democracy and as part of the activities marking Humble Prince Organisation 5th Year anniversary.
Standup Eti-Osa is an initiative aimed at the generality of Eti-Osa people to come out enmass with thier voters card and vote.
A statement by the organisation at its secretariat event in the heart of Eti-Osa, stated that the clarion call to party leaders, HPO Ambassadors, Apex Ambassadors, its members and the general public to see politics as a way to speak for more developmental goals and drive through the polls.
The organisation used the opportunity to welcomed its members and other new members to its fold and reiterated its drive to Stand Up for Governor Sanwo Olu’s 2nd term bid and the National leader of the party, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu presidential bid in view of thier performance, competence and desire to serve. The Chairman of the organisation, Mr Saheed Ejalonibu said HPO is a vital and integral part of Eti-Osa with its members spaning the length and breadth of the area though with members in other areas. He said, the organisation which is a political group within the All Progrrssive Congrss (APC) aims to add value to politicians within the party with HPO’s four cardinal values. He said the values are Service, Competence, Integrity and Performance.
Mr Jide Adams, a leader of HPO reiterated the need for members to reposition themselves for the new HPO with bigger dreams BUT the need to be one as a broom which is the logo of the party (APC) and shun negative politricks amongst the fold. He said HPO as an organisation has a 5 – 10 year plan for Lagos State.
Hon Akinloye thanked every member of HPO and said the last 5 years was interesting but stated that the next 5 – 10 years will be key to the people and outlook of Eti-Osa and Lagos and that can be done through our votes for the right persons.
