Ooni, Estranged Queen Naomi, Settle Scores
The Ooni of Ife, Osun State, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, and his estranged queen, Naomi Silekunola are back on good terms.
The queen moved out of the world of the revered king in 2021, when she packed out of the palace in defiance of culture and tradition.
She left with the fruit of the marriage – a prince.
The estranged queen left the palace of the Ooni in Ile-Ife and returned to her ministry in Akure, Ondo State.
The exit of Silekunola, an Evangelist, from the palace in defiance of known custom sparked a major outcry from custodians of culture – and ceaseless reports.
The Ooni went on to marry six other wives back-to-back ( Olori Mariam, Olori Elizabeth, Olori Tobi Phillips, Princess Ashley, Princess Ronke and Olori Temitope) in the wake of the episodes.
Those who should know, however, disclosed that two years after she left – Evangelist Silekunola and the Ooni of Ife are back on good terms.
Insiders say that the care of their son, Prince Tadenikawo, is a significant factor in their rapport.
“They are enjoying a good relationship at present. They have a wonderful relationship, the Ooni and the estranged queen,” according to inside talks.
