As he drops his latest album, Canadian born Grammy award winning rapper, Drake has praised Nigerian singers Tekno and Wizkid for inspiring ’Scorpion’ his fifth effort.
Drake took to his Instagram Story to give ‘accolades’ to various artistes whose music inspired his latest project, and the Nigerian Afro-pop stars were listed.
“Thank you to all the artistes that inspired me on the studio drives,” the Drake captioned the first Instagram story as he went on to share screenshots of the albums or singles of the inspiring artiste.
Drake has previously collaborated with Wizkid on ‘Once Dance’ in his album ‘Views’ and featured on Wizkid’s smash hit ‘Come Closer’.
He was also seen in the studio with Tekno a few months ago.
Drake’s ‘Scorpion’ is a double album which comprises of 25 tracks with features from the late Micheal Jackson, Jay-Z, Nicki Minaj, Future, Ty Dolla $ign, and Static Major.
