Aminu Tambuwal Begins Fresh Battle With Ex- Deputy As He Commences Campaign In Sokoto

Following his failure in the last Presidential election primary where he contested on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Governor Aminu Tambuwal who later came back to pick PDP Governorship ticket has begun his campaing in earnest.

Campaign Organisation in Sokoto State has released the party’s campaign time-table for the forthcoming gubernatorial election in the state.
This was contained in a statement signed by the party’s Secretary of the campaign organisation Nasiru Aliyu Dantsoho on behalf of its Director-General, Alhaji Muktar Bello Maigona. According to the statement, the campaign would commence on January 9 to February 11, 2019.
To this end, Dantsoho urged the people of the-state to disregard the time-table already trending on social media, which he described as the work of saboteurs.
The secretary also debunked the rumours making the rounds that some of its members decamped to APC in the state, adding that those affected had since disassociated themselves from such claim. He explained that the PDP campaign train would first visit Sokoto Central in Binji and Wurno for Sokoto East senatorial district and later visit Southern senatorial district in Bodinga Local Government Area of the state.
Dantsoho further said that the party would visit all the 27 local government areas of the state, adding that the grand finale of the party’s campaigns would hold on 11th February, 2019 at Giginya Memorial Stadium, Sokoto.
However, the ex deputy governor Ahmed Aliyu, who is the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate for the 2019 poll in the state, resigned his position to enable him to concentrate on his campaign. He is also hell-bent in winning the February election.
