Atinuke Owolabi, Akin Olaniyan To Speak At Buzznews BEST Awards, Lecture 2023
Chairman of the Association of Professional Women Engineers of Nigeria, Engr (Dr) Atinuke Wuraola Owolabi MNSE, FNIEEE alongside Dr. Akin Olaniyan, Convener of Centre for Social Media Research, will be special guest speakers at this year’s edition of Buzznews BEST Awards and Lecture which is to be held at the prestigious Presken Hotels and Suites in Ikeja, Lagos on Saturday December 16, 2023.
The duo, who control high level of respect in the area of hitech information technology, will be speaking on the theme; “Gender and Tech: Exploring the Digital Gap and Encouraging Women Participation in Tech.”
These were contained in a statement signed by Mrs Funmi Olowosegun, the publisher of Buzznews Magazine and Convener of Buzznews BEST Awards.
Both Dr. Atinuke and Dr. Olaniyan will be delving on the need for women to narrow the gap between them and their men counterparts in investing into hitech and information technology.
“This topic is so vital for the development of the feminine gender considering the fact that information technology or hitech is the nucleus of any country’s present day economic development.
“The rate at which information technology is dominating all business spheres is alarming and astronomical.
“Today, any businessman or woman who does not have basic knowledge of ICT or hitech is simply out of point.
“There is no lucrative business venture of modern day that does not require ICT.
“That is just the basi fact and that is what these two enigmatic and charismatic ICT experts will be deliberating upon for our distinguished award winners and guests to be more informed and armed with the truth about the importance of Information Technology,” Olowosegun said.
She assured that the professional ICT gurus would take participants down the informative lane of expunging the facts and basics of ICT in global business and why women should play more vital roles in that sector for a better world.
