Easy going newly elected Chairman of Ido/Osi Local Government of Ekiti State, Hon.Prince Tunde Aladegbami, on Wednesday December 27Th , 2017 swore-in Hon.Busuyi Orilua as the secretary to Ido/ Osi Local Government.

Meanwhile, the council chairman today inaugurated the Legislative arm of the council.
In his proclamation, Hon.Prince Tunde Aladegbami said that his action was in accordance with Ekiti State Local Government Act that empowers council chairman to inaugurate legislative arm to make sure that checks and balances in conformity with the doctrine of separation of powers.
The legislative arm which is the lawmaking body of the council consists of thirteen councillors each from Eleven (11) wards in Ido / Osi Local Government.
While addressing the gathering, Hon.Aladegbami admonished councillors to work in tandem with the vision of his administration, appealing to them to see their legislative power as a means of bringing solution to the affected area of governance.
” We will sometime have different views on policy and programme issues, which is normal in democratic setting. I promise to run open door policy to everyone ventilates their views so as to bring meaningful development to our Local Government, ” he said.
After the proclamation by the chairman, the elected councillors took their oaths of office, which was administered by the Legislative Officer of the council, Mr. Kayode Bello.
After that, the clerk of the house led the councillors to the legislative chamber where the councillors representing Orin/Ora ward, Hon.Olohuniyo Temitope was unanimously elected as the Leader Of The House.
Others principal officers are Deputy Leader Hon.Aina Emmanuel, Majority Leader Hon.Ojo Temitope Michael, Deputy Majority Leader, Hon.Ogunleye Frederick Fisayo. Chief Whip Hon Daramola Abiodun Emmanuel.Deputy Chief Whip Hon.Olorunfemi Itunu.
