Give it to Adesean, he has paid his dues through hard work and perseverance. Today, with his never-say-die-spirit, he has done what many could not do in a life time. He recently had interview with Buzz News crew at his Apapa, Lagos  corporate head office

Kindly tell us about yourself

My names are Alhaji Adewale Adesesan, the CEO of Le Palme Global Limited. We are into clearing and forwarding with special focus in exporting, haulage and real estate.

Tell us how the  business evolved

I started as an apprentice under my able boss, Alhaji Lookman Fowotade, owner of Bilaf Cargo Service Limited. Apart from learning the rudiment of the business, Alhaji taught  me morals, discipline, customer relation and how to excel in the business. And I can tell you, all these really helped  my business to grow. I always ensure my customers are satisfied with whatever business they bring in here.

Apart from Lagos  where is your  office located

Apapa  is our corporate head office . All operations are executed from here. We are registered and licensee agency. We  work with Nigerian Customs across the country. Our tentacles are spread around the major sea port and borders such as Port Harcourt, Seme Boder, Tin Can Island, Cutonou and so on

Tell us  about your services

Our services include clearing of cargoes and delivery. We are into real estate. We  have properties in Lekki that is fast selling. We also engage youths in apprenticeship. We have about 30 staff as we speak and they are all doing fine.

What led you to the business

It was after my higher education that I dabbled into the business.  I am graduate of Business Administration with Second Class Upper from the Lagos State University Ojo, Lagos. Really, I did a lot of examinations to get a good job from the labor market but all to no avail until my uncle advised me to go and learn clearing . So I will say clearing and forwarding for me was accidental .  Though it was difficult at first but with determination and perseverance i was able to climb the success ladder . All thanks to almighty Allah  and my uncle for his fatherly advice which  today has paid off.

What are the challenges

The major challenges is the  increment of import duties.  This is seriously having adverse effect in our businesses. You can wake tomorrow and  hear that there is increment again so as a result, the business is not stable. The forex market  is the source of the  problem pushing government to increase all the time. We pray our naira regain strength to further  boost our economy. If all these are in place I can assure you we will all smile in this industry.

How old are you in the business

To the glory of God, we are 15 years in the business.  Its more than a decade and I can tell you this is not a child’s play. We have paid  our dues in the business and we thank God for everything.

Any regret in life

No regret so to speak. All I will say is just to thank God, showing me pathway to my success  earlier in life. Fine, challenges will always come but God has  given us the wisdom to surmount them as it comes.

Are you married

Off course I am married  with lovely kids

Clearing  and forwarding men are known to be socialite so do you drink, smoke or womanize

I am Alhaji and at the same time I ‘m social but not extravagant. I do all my things with moderation.
