The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship flagbearer, Engr. Musa Wada, paid a visit to Senator Dino Melaye at his residence in Abuja, ahead of the November 16 gubernatorial election in Kogi.

Both men were spotted on camera while embracing each other in a friendly way.
Wada shared photos from the visit on Twitter, with the caption: “Today, I visited Senator Dino Melaye at his residence in Abuja. I want to assure kogites that PDP is one family.”
Recall that the PDP governorship primary election ended abruptly in the early hours of Wednesday, September 4, when gunmen invaded the venue of the election, Lokoja Confluence Stadium.
Voting had ended and sorting of votes were going on when the gunmen reportedly invaded the venue at about 1:45 am and started shooting from different directions.
Wada was later announced winner of the primary, having scored the highest number of votes cast. Wada, a younger brother of the immediate past governor, Idris Wada, scored 748 votes to clinch the party’s ticket, while Melaye came fourth with 70 votes cast.
This did not go down well with Melaye who described the primary election as unacceptable. He condemned the results via his official Twitter page on Wednesday, September 4, saying it is ridiculous to declare a final result of the primary when his votes sorted out on Tuesday, September 3, in eight out of 10 ballot boxes were missing.
