Nollywood Star, Foluke Daramola-Salako, Popular Fuji Musician, Sulaimon Adio Atawewe Join CJPAN For Annual CSR Project …Say We’re Happy To Be CJPAN’s CSR Ambassadors
It was an enthusiastic moment when popular and prestigious Celebrity Journal Publishers’ Association of Nigeria (CJPAN) held the second edition of its Corporate Social Responsibility, CSR tagged; “Clean Up Lagos,” as a way of contributing its quota to the development of the society and Nigeria at large.
The CJPAN Public Relations Officer, Mr. Sanya Ojo, said that in a statement that the event was held on Thursday August 31, 2023 at Awolowo Way, adjacent gigantic Glass House building, Computer Village in, Ikeja area of Lagos State.
The cleaning exercise began around 8:30am, when all members of the Association assembled and were joined by the ambassadors of the exercise; a popular Fuji musician, Alhaji Sulaimon Adio Atawewe and a notable actress, Foluke Daramola-Salako.
According to Atawewe, there is need to support the cleaning exercise because the government cannot do it alone
He, however, encouraged other celebrities to partner with CJPAN on the laudable project in its subsequent events.
In the same vein, Foluke Daramola commended CJPAN for the CSR initiative of cleaning up Lagos State.
She expressed her happiness to be part of the memorable project, noting that the initiative is centered on general environmental sanitation exercise from members of the fourth estate of the realm.
CJPAN’s President and Publisher of Islander Magazine/Online, Mr.Olarewaju Mohammed noted that the cleaning exercise is a laudable environmental sanitation event, which doubles as the association’s CSR aimed at giving back to the society.
He maintained that if the environment is cleaned enough it will reduce unwanted diseases in the community and the society as it will save the people from epidemics.
Alhaji Mohammed reiterate that the cleaning up Lagos and its environment project js the Association’s quarterly event and pleaded with corporate organizations to partner with CJPAN on it.
“CJPAN is out to support the cleaning of the environment from one local government to another during environmental activities/exercise and it would be a continuous exercise,” he added.
Meanwhile, The Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA), which supported the maiden edition, threw their weight behind the 2nd edition as their truck arrived at the venue in time to ensure that the exercise recorded a huge success.
It would be recalled that the maiden edition took place in Agege Local Government area last year and it will be taken to other parts of local government areas in the state.
