Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde Celebrates 25th Wedding Anniversary
Veteran Nollywood actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, via her official Twitter handle celebrated her 25 years of marriage to Captain Matthew Ekeinde.
“25 years Strong. #Silverjubilee,” the 43-year-old actress captioned a photograph of herself and her spouse striking an intimate pose.
Reacting to the announcement, a Twitter user with the handle @CollingSabj remarked, “Wow, so cute and beautiful, wish you guys many more happy and fruitful years ahead.”
“Happy #SilverJubilee Wedding anniversary to you and Captain. May God’s blessings continue to abide,” @jegola2002 wrote.
“Congratulations,” wrote @stevolalaski, “many more years together in good health and fruitfulness, in Jesus name . I knew when she got married and I’m not 25 yet. God is great”.
Omotola married Captain Matthew Ekeinde in 1996. In 2001, the couple held a white ceremony on board a Dash 7 aircraft while flying from Lagos to Benin, with close family and friends present.
Omotola gave birth to her first daughter on March 30, 1997. Her union with Captain Matthew is blessed with four children: Princess, M.J, Meraiah and Michael.
She had her Nollywood film debut in 1995 and has since appeared in over 300 films.
In 2013, she was honoured in Time magazine’s list of the 100 most influential people in the world alongside Michelle Obama, Beyoncé and Kate Middleton.
