Why I Sent My First Two Wives Away- Akin Lewis

Akin Lewis is a legend whenever it comes to acting, directing and producing, But he has not been able to bring all these skills to bear in his marriages which have fallen apart without remedies.

Speaking in an interview on Monday, Akin Lewis accused his past two wives of being too greedy; saying that was why he sent them away.

He said they didn’t understand what it means to be married to someone like him; saying they wanted it all.

“My previous wives were just being greedy, they didn’t understand their roles as wives. But if there are other reasons, they will have to explain. I think they were selfish; they wanted it all and do not understand what it means to be married to somebody like me.” he said.

Asked, the Nollywood veteran denied having any fault; adding that he made an error of judgement marrying them.

He emphasised that the two women were selfish and wanted everything to themselves without thinking of the implications it would have on the family.

Lewis, who seems very bitter with his wives said he wanted to delete every memory of the marriages from his head.

“We all make mistakes because we are not perfect, but my people say that cutting off the head is not the cure for headache. That is why I said they were selfish; they wanted it all without thinking of the implications it would have on family. In management, we usually say that you make the error of judgment in employing someone. That is probably what happened. The error of judgment was mine.

“Still about those marriages, I want them deleted. Yeah, I would like them deleted because it is not funny when you give someone all you have and they take it for granted.” he stated.

He, however, said he is happy with the woman in his life now, saying “I’m enjoying the relationship.”
