“We Will Support Your Noble Course”, Adefulire Assured Oba Akinloye on His Vocatonal Centre

Princess (Hon.) Adejoke Orelope Adefulire, the Senior Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Sustainable Developmental Goal (SDG),  on  Thursday, during the 20th anniversary of Oba Akinloye ‘s vocational center in Lagos,  reaffirmed her support for the school following the selfless acumen and great impact of the monarch in the last 20 years in the community.

Orelope in her opening speech said:” I want  to appreciate our king for the great impact and human face he has given the Ajiran land, I want to assure you that my ministry will not relent in supporting this vocational center. Speaking further, she urged the students  to fully utilize the benefits of the scheme to develop themselves and become employers of labor to justify the government’s huge investment.

She appreciated the effort of the monarch for the noble course and assured her support for the school adding that the coming year 2022 would be better as the government will embark on various youth development initiatives throughout the year.

 

The well attended event which was also in commemoration of graduation ceremony of 87 students who graduated in flying colors from various vocations.

Other notable among the dignitaries at the event were Justice George Oguntade, the retired Supreme Court Justice and former Nigerian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, and His Royal Highness , Onikotun of Ikotun , Oba Azeez Gbadabu Asiwaju, among other dignitaries who came to identify with Oba Akinloye.

Justice Oguntade, in his goodwill message, congratulated the king for the feat and commended him for initiating an empowerment programme targeted at youths, maintaining that the effort would go a long way to reduce crimes while allowing beneficiaries to contribute to the economic growth of their fatherland.

Speaking on behalf of other beneficiaries, Mrs. Bimbo , a Hairdressing and Make-Up graduate described the programme as the best she had ever attended, noting that learning the vocation privately could be very expensive.
She thanked the king for giving her such a life-changing opportunity, promising to use her new job to support her family.

The highlight of the event aside presentation of awards was the presentation of certificates to trainees who distinguished themselves in their various vocations.
Millennium Vocational Centre is designed to prepare students for a new and exciting career path, to enhance skills to improve long-term career opportunities.
